What’s new

The changes you’ll notice in Lecinote, newest first.

  1. Version 2026.10.08.1

Clearer steps in cooking mode, sized for your screen

Cooking mode now reads better from across the kitchen and fits the device you cook with.

    • One action per line. Imported steps that pack several actions together with bullets now show each action on its own line. Your saved recipe isn’t changed.
    • A compact recipe header. Each recipe shows a small photo, “Step 2 of 6”, and a progress bar with one segment per step, leaving more room for the instruction.
    • Look back without losing your place. Previous step opens the last step you finished, read-only, then takes you straight back.
    • Bigger text on tablets and larger buttons throughout, so you can tap with a floured finger.
    • A layout for every screen. One recipe at a time on a phone, two or three side by side on a tablet, four on a laptop and five on a wide display. The meal map shows which recipes are on screen and how far along each one is.
    • Phones propped sideways show the instruction on the left and your next action on the right.

    Elsewhere:

    • Start cooking straight from a recipe page when no meal is in progress.
    • Recipe and library photos now fill their frames.
    • Long imported descriptions fold behind Read more.
    • Two-column ingredient lists read down each column.
    • The meal planner’s cooking bar stays quiet until you select something.
  2. Version 2026.10.04.1

    Import several recipes at once

Importing is now a batch job you can walk away from.

    • Paste up to 10 links, or drop up to 10 JSON or JSON-LD recipe files, in one go.
    • An import inbox tracks every source while Lecinote works through it, and shows what’s ready to review, what’s saved, and what couldn’t be imported, with a reason.
    • Pages with more than one recipe let you choose which ones to bring in.
    • Duplicate links are caught before they’re imported twice.
    • Each import still waits for your review before it joins your library.
  3. Version 2026.09.27.1

Imports save your review as you go

    • Review corrections save automatically while you check an imported recipe, so a closed tab or dropped connection doesn’t lose your work.
    • Save and next moves you straight to the following import when you’re reviewing several.
    • Recipe details embedded in web pages are found more reliably.
  4. Version 2026.09.18.1

Add Lecinote to your home screen

    • Install Lecinote on your phone, tablet, or computer so it opens like an app, without browser bars. On iPhone, Safari shows a short reminder of how. See how to add it to your home screen.
    • A friendly offline page appears if your connection drops, instead of a browser error.
    • A calmer reconnecting notice replaces the error banner when Lecinote briefly loses its connection.
    • The Lecinote wordmark stays visible at tablet widths.
  5. Version 2026.09.08.1
